This policy describes the countryzipcode, upgrade with USA ZIP search, location and address lookup, saved places, ZIP boundary maps, USA telephone area codes and Firebase notifications. Older releases may have different features and data practices.

1. Location and address lookup

With your permission, the app accesses your approximate or precise location while you use it to display your coordinates, postal code, address and position on a map. It may refresh your location when you open the app if permission has already been granted.

Android location and geocoding services may process your coordinates to determine your position and convert it into an address. The provider depends on your device and its configuration. Precise location improves accuracy; approximate permission can produce less accurate results.

The app does nottrack your location in the background. Location permission is optional: you can use the offline ZIP and telephone area-code directories without it. Change permission at any time in Android Settings → Apps → countryzipcode → Permissions.

2. Offline searches

ZIP code, city, state and USA telephone area-code searches use data bundled with the app. These search queries are processed on your phone and are not sent to our server. Opening an online map or boundary makes the separate requests described below.

3. Saved locations

When you choose to save a location, the app stores its name, latitude, longitude, location accuracy, available address and saved time in private app storage on your phone. You can save up to 50 locations, rename them or delete them.

The app does not upload these saved records to our servers or Firebase. Opening a saved place on a map requests map tiles for that area. A saved place represents the recorded position, not continuous tracking.

Saved locations remain until you delete them, clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. The supplied upgrade disables Android app backup and app-data transfer.

4. Maps and ZIP boundaries

The app uses OpenStreetMap tiles and U.S. Census Bureau TIGERweb ZIP Code Tabulation Area boundaries. Network requests disclose your IP address and technical request details to the respective providers. Map tile requests identify the displayed geographic area; boundary requests identify the selected ZIP code.

These providers may process request logs under their own policies:

Census boundaries are approximate statistical ZIP areas, not official USPS delivery boundaries. Some ZIP codes have no mapped boundary. Location and address results may be inaccurate and should notbe relied on for emergency services.

5. Firebase notifications and message history

The app uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver announcements and Cloud Firestore to retrieve the public announcement feed. Firebase processes app installation identifiers, messaging registration tokens and technical connection or delivery information needed to provide these services. Network connections also expose an IP address to the service provider.

The app subscribes to its announcement topic. The Notifications page displays the five most recent available messages and caches message information on the phone. We do not send your saved locations, location names, GPS coordinates or offline search queries to Firebase through this app.

You can disable system notifications in Android settings. Disabling alerts does not disable Firebase registration or prevent the Notifications page from fetching messages when opened.

For Google's handling and retention of service data, see Privacy and Security in Firebaseand the Google Privacy Policy.

6. Sharing information

Share location opens Android's share menu with your coordinates, available address and a Google Maps link. Information is shared with the app or recipient you select. Share app shares the Google Play download link.

Only share a location with people or services you trust. Once shared, the receiving service's privacy practices apply; deleting a saved place in this app does not delete copies you have shared elsewhere.

7. Advertising, accounts and analytics

This upgraded version does not include an advertising SDK, Google Analytics for Firebase or a Crashlytics SDK. You do not need to create an account. The app does not request access to contacts, SMS messages, call logs or payment information, and we do not sell personal information collected through this version.

Firebase messaging and online map services still process the technical information described above. This policy does not claim that all app activity stays offline.

8. Support communications

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond to your request and resolve support issues. Please avoid sending private location details unless needed to explain a problem.

Support correspondence is retained only as necessary to address the request, maintain relevant support records or meet applicable legal obligations. You can contact us to request deletion.

9. Retention and deletion

  • Saved places:delete individual entries in Saved Locations, or clear app storage to remove all local records.
  • Local notification history and caches:clear app storage or uninstall the app to remove local copies. Public announcements may be downloaded again if you reinstall or reopen the feed.
  • Service-provider records:Firebase, map and geocoding providers manage their technical records under their policies. Clearing app storage does not immediately erase provider-side logs.
  • Support emails:contact us to request deletion, subject to any applicable retention obligations.
No account deletion is required because this version has no user accounts. We cannot remotely retrieve or delete saved places that exist only on your phone.

10. Security and service providers

The app uses private app storage and HTTPS for its online map and Firebase connections. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your device protected and updated.

Providers may process data in countries other than your own. We use the services described in this policy to provide location lookup, maps and notifications. We may disclose information we hold when legally required or where necessary to protect rights and security.

11. Children and privacy choices

The app is a general-purpose location utility and is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request children's personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information through support communications can contact us.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction or deletion of personal information we hold. Send requests to [email protected]. For on-device saved places, use the app's deletion controls or Android's storage settings.

12. Website visits and policy changes

Opening EasyCalculator.org or an external link takes you to a separate website. Website data practices, including any cookies or advertising, are covered by that website's policy. See the EasyCalculator.org website privacy policy.

We may update this app policy when functionality or data practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated through the app where appropriate.

13. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected]. Include countryzipcode — Privacyin the subject so we can identify the app.
