EasyCalculator.org provides Easy WiFi – Speed Test & Analyzer , an Android app also labelled Easy WiFi and displaying wifi speed test on its home screen. This policy applies to the Android app with package name org.easycalculator.easywifi .

 1. What the app does
The app measures internet download and upload speeds over WiFi, measures HTTP latency and jitter, and displays WiFi connection and nearby access point information. You can optionally display your public IP address, internet provider information, approximate IP-based area, and current device coordinates.
The app does not require an account. The current version contains no advertising SDK, remote analytics SDK, or remote crash-reporting service. EasyCalculator.org does not sell personal information collected through the app.
2. Information accessed and its purpose
 WiFi and network information
The app accesses available WiFi and network details to display your connection and analyze nearby WiFi access points. These may include network names (SSIDs), access point identifiers (BSSIDs), signal strength, frequency, band, channel, channel width, security capabilities, negotiated link speed, local IP address, gateway, and connection status.
These details are processed on your device. The app does not intentionally send WiFi names, access point identifiers, or local network details to its speed-test or IP-lookup services. They are not saved in test history.
 Speed-test measurements
A test generates network traffic to measure download speed, upload speed, idle HTTP latency, jitter, and HTTP latency during downloads and uploads. The app also records measurement timestamps, duration, transferred byte counts, sample counts, and failed auxiliary probe counts.
Tests transfer synthetic data rather than uploading your personal files. A full test can transfer approximately 80 MiB plus additional probe traffic and protocol overhead. Tests run while the app is in the foreground and can be stopped. Tests use the WiFi connection; this routing may take a direct WiFi path outside a VPN, depending on your device configuration.

Optional public IP, provider, and approximate area
If you enable this feature, the app contacts ipapi.is to obtain your outgoing public IP address, registered company or network operator, autonomous system information, and approximate city, region, and country associated with that IP address.
The service receives your public IP address and normal request metadata. The app does not send device coordinates, WiFi names, or access point identifiers with this request. IP-based area information is approximate and may differ from your actual location. The displayed provider may be an upstream network or IP owner rather than your retail internet provider.
This feature can be disabled in Connection preferences. Returned details are displayed in memory and are not saved in test history.
Optional device coordinates
If you enable the device-coordinate feature and grant location permission, the app requests a current foreground location through Android's available location providers. It displays latitude, longitude, accuracy, and the location timestamp.
The app does not upload, reverse-geocode, share, or save these coordinates in test history. They are held temporarily in memory for display. The app does not track location in the background. You can disable this feature in Connection preferences or revoke permission in Android settings.
3. Permissions and your choices
The app explains its connection features during initial setup and requests Android location permission before accessing protected WiFi identifiers, WiFi scans, or optional device coordinates. Android may also require system Location services to be enabled for WiFi information.
The app uses internet and WiFi/network permissions to run tests, inspect connection status, and request WiFi scans. It does not request access to your contacts, messages, microphone, camera, personal files, or background location.
Your setup choices are remembered. The app does not automatically repeat permission requests each time you start a test. Android can revoke permissions, and permissions granted for only one session may expire. You can change permissions in Android Settings → Apps → Easy WiFi → Permissions . Without location access, some WiFi details and location features may be unavailable, but location permission is not needed solely to transfer speed-test traffic.
4. Third-party services
Cloudflare speed-test endpoints
The app sends HTTPS measurement requests to speed.cloudflare.com , including its download and upload endpoints. Cloudflare receives your public IP address, the synthetic test traffic, and connection/request metadata needed to handle those requests.
Cloudflare's handling and retention of information are governed by its own privacy policy:
https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
ipapi.is
The optional public IP and provider lookup uses https://api.ipapi.is/ . The service receives your public IP address and request metadata when a lookup runs. Provider-side processing and retention are governed by its privacy policy:
https://ipapi.is/privacy.html
The app does not operate an EasyCalculator.org server that receives your test results or connection details. Third-party services may process information under their own policies; the app cannot control their retention practices.
5. Local storage and retention
The app stores the following in its private Android app storage:
- Up to 50 completed test results , containing numerical measurements and timestamps. Older results are replaced as new results are saved.
- Your setup completion status and connection-feature preferences.
- A retry timestamp when the optional IP lookup provider temporarily limits or blocks requests.
Saved history does not include WiFi names, access point identifiers, IP addresses, provider names, or device coordinates. Live graph points and displayed connection details are held in memory rather than stored in history.
Use Clear history in the app to delete saved test results. This does not reset preferences or provider retry settings. Use Android Settings → Apps → Easy WiFi → Storage → Clear storage/data , or uninstall the app, to remove its local stored data. Android backup and app data transfer are disabled in the current app configuration.
Errors may be written to Android's local diagnostic log (Logcat). The app does not automatically upload these logs to a remote crash-reporting service.
6. Sharing results and contacting support
Results are shared only when you choose the app's Share action and select a receiving app. The app-generated share text contains numerical test measurements and measurement context; it does not include WiFi names, access point identifiers, IP addresses, or device coordinates. The receiving app handles shared information under its own policies.
If you email [email protected] , we receive the email address, message, and any attachments or diagnostics you voluntarily provide. We use this information to respond to your request and troubleshoot problems, and retain it as needed for those purposes and applicable obligations. Do not include passwords or other unnecessary sensitive information in support messages.
Opening an external website or email app takes you to a separate service, whose privacy practices may differ from those described here.
7. Security
The app uses HTTPS for its speed-test and IP-lookup requests and Android's private app storage for saved preferences and results. These measures help protect information, but no device, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Children
The app is a general-purpose network utility and does not knowingly solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through support communications, contact [email protected] so we can review and address the request.
9. Your privacy choices
You can disable optional connection features, revoke Android permissions, clear saved history, clear app storage, or uninstall the app. For questions or requests concerning information you have sent directly to us, email [email protected] . Information processed independently by Cloudflare or ipapi.is is subject to the relevant provider's policies and request procedures.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when app functionality or privacy practices change. The updated policy will show a revised last-updated date. Where appropriate, material changes will also be explained in the app, and additional permission or consent will be requested before newly introduced access requiring it.
