Android app ยท location accessThis privacy policy explains how MGRS UTMzone Pro for Android handles device location, saved points, and online map requests.
๐ Location permission & coordinate conversion
The app uses Android's location services to show your current position, its reported accuracy, and its coordinates in formats such as latitude and longitude, MGRS, and UTM. The app can receive approximate or precise location depending on the permission you grant. Coordinate conversions run on your device.
The app stops location updates when it leaves the foreground and does not request background location permission. You can deny or change location access in Android Settings under Apps โ MGRS UTMzone Pro โ Permissions โ Location. You can still enter coordinates manually without granting location access.
Location permission is only used while the app is in the foreground.
๐พ Saved points & retention
When you save a point, the app stores its latitude and longitude, name, optional notes, and save time in app-private storage. The app keeps saved points until you delete them or remove its local data. It does not upload your saved points or notes to an EasyCalculator.org server. The app is configured to disable Android backup.
You can delete individual points from Saved Locations. To remove all app-private data, clear the app's storage in Android Settings or uninstall the app. CSV files and other copies you previously exported or shared can remain at their destination until deleted there.
๐ Online maps & third-party processing
The app requests street map tiles from OpenStreetMap over HTTPS. The tile service receives your IP address, the app's identifier in its user agent, and the tile requests that identify the area displayed. When the map is centered on your current position, a manually entered point, or a saved point, the requested tiles can reveal the general area around that position. Tile requests do not contain the saved point's name or notes.

๐ Copying, sharing & CSV export
When you choose to copy coordinates, the app puts them on your device's clipboard. When you share a point, the selected app or recipient receives the information in the share message. A shared OpenStreetMap link can contain precise coordinates, which are sent to OpenStreetMap when the link is opened.
A CSV export can include point names, notes, latitude and longitude, available MGRS and UTM values, and save times. Android lets you choose where to save the file. A cloud storage provider you select may upload or sync it.
๐ Accounts, advertising & analytics
The app does not require an account and does not include advertising or app analytics SDKs.
